As the end of the year approaches, now is the time for taking a moment to reflect on past experiences and achievements. Our efforts in Tesi to make an impact, and to solve environmental and social problems through venture capital and equity investment, have involved all our personnel and raised responsibility to the next level. We at Tesi decided to give our Christmas donation to youth service Vamos for a second time.
Education and equality are decisive factors for social cohesion. A good education creates a sound base for wellbeing, learning new skills and social integration. It promotes advances in technology and productivity, and gives people opportunities to participate in and influence society’s decision-making.
In addition to these noble objectives, however, attention should focus on individual people: also on those whose hopes are as yet unformed, or who have lost the ability to dream and strive for something perhaps totally lost.
We at Tesi decided to give our Christmas donation to Vamos for a second time. Vamos is a youth service, provided by Helsinki Deaconess Institute, that reduces the social exclusion of 12–29-year olds by helping them towards school and employment. Its mission is to create human dignity for everyone.
