The new fund focusing on Finnish growth-oriented SMEs reached its target size at EUR 80 million and continues the investment scope of the previous funds by Korona Invest. Among others, investors include both Tesi and KRR IV fund-of-fund it manages. Tesi has not invested in the previous three funds by Korona Invest.

”Tesi’s investment in the latest fund improves the availability of financing for Finnish growth companies from a professional investor, that also has a differentiating profile in the market resulting from a number of successful M&As,”  comments Tapio Passinen, Investment Director at Tesi.

Korona Invest was established in 2006 and is one of the most successful private equity investors in its size range in Finland. In its funds, acquisitions have played a significant role in developing the businesses of the portfolio companies. Korona Invest has made more than 120 transactions into them, resulting in the companies having grown by over 4000 employees.
